It was found that coloured overlays help to reduce the perceptual distortions of text which reduces discomfort when reading and enables more fluent reading.

Patients with Dyslexia
Patients with dyslexia are commonly described as having specific learning difficulties in reading. They may also suffer with visual stress (also known as Meares-Irlen Syndrome) which can cause symptoms such as:
