As a contract holder of the IOW NHS Glaucoma Referral Refinement Scheme, we are able to offer additional specialist tests for patients first suspected with glaucoma.

Glaucoma Screening Measure
This includes measuring the eye pressure with Goldmann Applanation Tonomoter, which is the gold standard of eye pressure measurement.
Corneal Pachymetry is also performed to measure the corneal thickness and the Humphrey Visual Field Analyser is used to assess the field of vision. This shared care scheme greatly benefits our patients as it improves the accuracy of glaucoma referrals and allows better management of patients with suspect glaucoma.
